About me

My picture

Hello, Thanks for visiting my page. My name is Kaiz Ali. I was born in Mandalay which is a former royal capital of Myanmar. I am currently living in Malaysia. My story begins back in 2017 when I started teaching myself HTML and CSS using the SoloLearn app on my phone. The reason I started learning HTML and CSS is that I wanted to make a web-based clone version of an Android app. After a bit of practicing, I was able to make a site with just HTML and CSS using a framework. But that didn't last long until I move onto the next project. The next project I did, was a revamped version of the site that I first built. This time I was able to make a site that looks okay. Below is the first and second site that I made.

My very first website First website
My second website Second website

I coded 12 hours or more every day for the second website. As the page relies heavily on text, I had to detach the contents into multiple files. Since I don't know much JavaScript it took me approximately 1 week to complete the whole website.

Anyway, I landed my first full-time job in March 2018. I worked as a waiter in a restaurant for six months. The reason I worked was to buy a laptop. When I was working full-time, I didn't want to forget what I learned. So every night from work, I worked on some little projects. The pure CSS drawer I made which is embedded below is my favorite one.

As a beginner, developers have always impressed me. To be a developer of this innovation, where everything constantly changes and grows, you have to have passions and desires. I didn't get an opportunity to go to University to pursue Computer Science or others. Nevertheless, I take every opportunity to become who I always wanted. A path that I have taken may not be smooth at first, in which, every day, I struggle and make mistakes, I am sure that it will be worth it as I learn every day. I look forward to getting involved in this movement of making this World Wide Web a better place.
